While we were on camp-8th Dec
the hive was examined for AFB-American Foul Brood.This wasn't complete because there were no capped broods.The queen is therefore not laying well-so the hive is to be requeened-this will happen tomorrow-12th Dec.When the new queen is added {after the old one is killed}we will not be able to enter the hive for a month.Varroa strips were taken out-confirmed that there are no varroa mites in the hive.
